Boy, it’s been a long time since I’ve done a *real* clearance run. Things have been so quiet the last few days that I have to do something to shake it up! Not only that, I’m itching to write about something again. Thank goodness for Pinterest! I’ve got some interesting craft ideas up my sleeve.
Moving on to Walgreens. I found quite a few seasonal markdowns. And as many of you know, I’m in Michigan. What does that have to do with anything? I’m not entirely sure. Well, I have a reason for throwing that in the mix, but its relevance is questionable. What I’ve found is that while I may have markdowns of 25%, you may have 50-75%. That seems to be pretty standard. Once upon a time, Oakland County (where I live) used to be among the highest income level counties in the nation. Perhaps we’re still ranked in the top 100. Ack-heck-kack! That’s the sound of me choking, my apologies. Apparently, retailers are still clinging to that illusion because nothing is ever as inexpensive here as other places. That said, Walmart was a near total bust for me yesterday. The cheapest Noxzema razors I found were $2.97 and you’ll appreciate that I was not about to pay $0.97 for a 4 pk of razors! Not this girl! And yes, I could have had them price match without the ad, but I feel weird about it. I feel like I should HAVE to bring something tangible to point to and say *See! They’re only $2 at Rite Aid!* Well, something like that. :)
