Well, here we go! CVS has finally released a formal coupon policy! Not much stands out to me, in particular, but I’ll highlight a few things for you:
- They accept one manufacturer and one CVS coupon toward the purchase of a single item, unless prohibited by either coupon.
- Coupons will be adjusted down to the cost of the item.
From my point of view, what is noticeably absent is any coverage of the use of Buy One Get One Free coupons toward the purchase of BOGO items. I know some of you have experienced a lot of trouble trying to do that lately. It seems to me that if it is not strictly prohibited by the policy, it is an acceptable practice. Of course, my word means nothing, but I tend to throw a somewhat compelling, but standard, argument their way and that generally does the trick.
Oh, and call me paranoid, but I’ll tell you what makes me nervous. *CVS reserves the right to process coupons in any order.* Yep, I see shades of Walgreens coming into play here.

If you’ve been couponing a while, you may remember the $10 Amazon coupons several months ago. Aaah, good freebie memories! I’ve gotten Desitin and Boudreaux coupons from magazines just like this, so make sure you subscribe if you aren’t already!
