Here are a couple of fun things for the kids that will eat up an hour or so!

First, you’ll want to create a free personalized video from the Portable North Pole for your teeny people to get them all hyped up about the big day.  Santa will address your child by name and look through his *year in review* book  to take a look at a couple of significant events.  From there, Santa will give your child the confidence boost of a lifetime by telling him/her that he/she has been good enough to get the green light for Christmas!  Of course, I had to note that my buddy had been asked by his Mom and Dad  (and Santa) to be good to his little sister.  Everything in balance, ya know!  ;)  It’s really a fabulous personalized gift.  The only drawback?  Too much stock material.  If you have more than one child, Santa says essentially the same thing to all of them with some personalized variations.

Because kids can’t get enough of Santa and all the inner workings of the North Pole, head over to the Norad Santa site and take a look around the little town Santa calls home.  Of all the special locations around town, one is the busiest each day.  Have your child move the mouse around the town until today’s location is highlighted.  Click on it and your little person can play a fun activity that has a super easy option that younger kids can manage.  I will say that my 3 year old cannot figure out today’s *Light Up The Tree* game on the easiest setting, but an older child can.  As for the rest of the games, I cannot say whether they’re geared for 4ish and up or not.  Drawback?  If you have a child accustomed to playing games, this will be a disappointment.  However, if you have just the opposite, it makes a nice entry into the online world.  While you’re there, you can watch a video to understand more about how Norad tracks Santa, download the official Norad Tracks Santa app,  and squash doubts about Santa’s existence in the Q&A section.
