Feel Good Fix: Give FREE $25 Loan to People In Need from Kiva!

If you’re a new user of Kiva, you’ll receive a free $25 loan you can give to someone in need just for signing up.   After you finish the sign up process, you can turn right  around and give that $25 to a person seeking a loan by searching through their list of needy people.

Here’s how it works:

  • You make a loan to vetted people in developing countries around the world looking to start a business.  (FREE $25 loan.)  All of the loan value goes directly to the individual requesting financial assistance.
  • Throughout the life of the loan, check on the progress of his/her business through your email and site visits.
  • If you choose to fund a loan yourself,  the money becomes available in your account as the loan is repaid.  This will be your Kiva Credit. ( The free $25 new member loan you receive will not be returned to you to reinvest.)
  • You can now fund another loan, donate it to Kiva or withdraw it to spend.

I participated in this the last time the free credit was offered and receive regular updates on the young mother in the Philippines whose business I helped.  Because of my loan, and the loans of others, she has the ability to properly educate and care for her children.  I cannot recommend this enough.  It’s a free opportunity to change somebody’s life.

Reminder/New to You:  When you see a post titled *Feel Good Fix*, you can be sure it is a good way to make a donation to a worthy cause.  Generally, this can be done with just a click of your mouse!  Many times, organizations have promotions on Facebook or the web where all you have to do is like them or make a comment and they’ll donate something on your behalf – food, money, water and many other things.  I try to profile at least one a week, sometimes more!
