CVS: Freebies & Cheapies 3/29-4/4!

There’s a new one!  Did you get this fab email coupon Thursday (3/26)?  I’m hearing from a lot of you that you did – and there are variations, too ($5/$25, $6/$30)!  If so, you’re looking at some excellent deals at CVS for one day only!  I’ve added this coupon to the matchups as well as some Big Red coupons many of you have been receiving!

Also, since these matchups are posted before the current week’s end, you can use it on this week’s deals as well!

Let me know what Big Red coupons you receive and I’ll add them to the matchups!

General Information

This list is printable!

Here are some easy use notes for you.

You’ll see a check box next to the sale item.  You can check that box and it will add it to your printable list box in the bottom right corner of your screen.  When you’ve added all the items you want to buy to the list, you can click on the *My List* tab to print them.

CVS has also released a new corporate coupon policy.  Make sure you print a copy and take it with you when you shop.  If this is new to you, you can read more about the changes to Buy One Get One Free sales and coupons HERE.

Keep in mind that CVS ads can be extremely regional.  You may find price variations in the sale items or they may not be on sale in your area at all.

I am now ONLY using online prices in my match-ups. I had been using my actual store prices, but that proved equally frustrating for many people. While I realize that online prices are also frustrating, they’re relatively accurate for some. Since they’re about the same in that regard, it’s easier to use online prices! For new items not yet in their online store, I will continue to use my store prices.

This list includes all the items under $1, most of the ECB deals and many, MANY more.  Because I’m still doing most of the ad,  every link isn’t tested, as I don’t buy everything that’s on sale and I’m too cheap to waste the ink. Let me know if one doesn’t work, if my math has taken a nose dive or I’ve missed a coupon somewhere.

CVS: New Total Purchase Email Coupon + Easter Candy Deal Scenarios!

This post may contain affiliate links. Read my disclosure policy for more information.

Reader Chelsea just sent me this picture of the new CVS total purchase email coupon she received!  If I’m going to get one at all, mine won’t be here until later this afternoon or evening (slow email)….and I expect I’ll get a % off coupon.  Those are NOT my favorite either because we can’t use them on sale items.  Bah.    In any case, she asked if I’d put together a deal or two with it this week to score some Easter candy, and I can!  Of course!

Now, your coupon value may vary, if you receive one at all.  You may also receive a % off coupon to use toward regular priced merchandise.  If you didn’t get one at all or got a % off coupon, login to your CVS account.  You may have a coupon for $2/$10 Candy Purchase.  I’ve heard from several readers who received this particular coupon.

Both of these scenarios are good through Saturday, March 28th:

Deal Idea #1

2 – South Beach Good to Go Cereal Bars $5
4 – Cadbury Eggs (singles) (BOGO at $0.99)
2 – Cadbury Mini Eggs 1.5oz (BOGO at $0.99)
2 – Dove Chocolate Easter Eggs 7.94-8.87oz, M&M’s 9.9oz, Mars Minis 9-11.5oz  $6
2 – Theater Boxed Candy $0.99
Total: $15.95
Use:
1 – $5/$15 Total Purchase Coupon (CVS Email Coupon – not everyone will receive)
2 – $2/1 South Beach Bars (any)
1 – $1/2 Dove Chocolate, M&M’s, Minis Mix, Twix, Snickers, Milky Way or 3 Musketeers
Pay: $5.95
Get:
1 – $0.25/1 Cadbury Mini Eggs (any) (SavingStar Deposit)
1 – $2 ECB on 2 Mars Candy (lim 1)
Final after ECB & SavingStar:  $3.70 for all!  – This is a good scenario to pick up candy that either doesn’t have coupons or have a lot of higher value coupons & ECB’s.

3 – Hershey’s Kisses, Eggs, Miniatures, Cadbury Mini Eggs 7.1-15oz $9
2 – Cadbury Mini Eggs 1.5oz (BOGO at $0.99)

Rite Aid: Discontinuing +UP Rewards and Replacing with Plenti Loyalty Program!

This post may contain affiliate links. Read my disclosure policy for more information.

Get ready, my fellow Rite Aid shoppers, things are going to change.  The Wellness+ program will remain intact while +UP Rewards will not.

What’s The Same

The Wellness+ program is now Wellness+ with Plenti.  We still earn Wellness+ points on all purchases and prescription medications to reach Bronze, Silver and Gold status along with the corresponding annual discounts (10-20%.)

What’s Different

+UP Rewards are going away.  Rite Aid has partnered with Plenti, a rewards program that allows you to earn points at one place and use them at another.  We will now earn Plenti points on our purchases of select items at Rite Aid (beauty, health, wellness.)  Points can be redeemed via Rite Aid’s or any of the Plenti partners (Exxon or Mobil gas stations, AT&T, Nationwide, Macy’s, Hulu and Direct Energy) once we’ve reached the 200 point ($2) minimum.  Points can also be earned by using Plenti’s participating partners as well.  The points earned do not expire for 2 years.

The bottom line:  We’ll still get Wellness + points toward Silver or Gold member status.  In addition, we’ll earn Plenti points redeemable as cash toward a purchase at Rite Aid, Macy’s or an AT&T bill, for example.  We will no longer receive +UP Rewards.

The new program launches in May 2015.
