It seems I start a lot of posts this way: *If you’ve been around here a while…*, but it’s true.  This blog is colored with my opinions right along with  information.  This post is no different.  The bottom line is always this:  If I hate it, you’ll hear it.

Uh oh, no bouncy bubbly intro?  No happy gaga love-love?  Aaah nope, not this time.  Haha!  All right, now that we have that covered, here’s my story.  Recently, as a BzzAgent, I was given the opportunity to try the new Scrubbing Bubbles One Step Toilet Bowl Cleaner.  You know, the one that’s on sale this week at Walmart for $3.97 with the $4.00 coupon?  You probably do.  If it’s as elusive to most of you as it has been for me, you probably don’t know exactly what it is though.  I mean, really, most of the time they have us at free.  Beyond that, personally, I don’t need to know more than that unless it has nuts in it.

Soooo keeping in mind that I’m fully analytic 900% of the time, and lacking in descriptive skill 1000% of the time – particularly when I’m less than enthusiastic, here is my assessment of the contraption.  It is a Scrubbing Bubbles refill can enclosed in a unobtrusive white canister with a pedal.  From this canister, there is a tube that comes out of the back of the device that has a clip and sprayer that attach to the  toilet bowl.    So far so good, right?  Yep.

The idea is that you will use the sprayer twice daily to clean your toilet bowl without touching it.   Usage according to package directions will net you 30 clean days.   Sounds good, right?

So, what happened?

As is my experience with all Scrubbing Bubbles products, it cleaned remarkably well.

But this is real life, my friends.  I have 2 tasmanian devils, you’ll recall.   Here is the play-by-play of my SBOSTBC experience:

1.)  I have a seven year old boy who goes anywhere BUT the toilet bowl, so all remaining surfaces need to be cleaned independently from the bowl by removing clip and spray device.  Oh, and in addition to cleaning the toilet rim, the clip and spray device also need to be restored to their original color as well.  Well, no.  NO.
2.)  I have a three year old girl who thinks the pedal is really neat.
3.)  I have a seven year old who thinks the pedal is really neat.
4.)  Said seven year old likes to get said three year old to depress the pedal just to get her in trouble.
5.)  Said  three year old needs little encouragement.
6.)  Beyond this, said seven year old believes the toilet is teeming with bacteria such that it needs to be cleaned every 12 seconds…all day….every day.
7.)  For safety reasons, Scrubbing Bubbles One Step Toilet Bowl Cleaner is removed from aforementioned toilet.

Now, if you have well behaved children, older children,  or no children, this is an ideal product.  It truly does work well.  I was very impressed with its ability to remove stains and effectively clean.  After all, that is what it is supposed to do, and it does.  For me and my family, it wasn’t a good fit.  It’s as simple as that.
